Fandango Bag Puppet Fun Facts
How many Bag Puppets are there?
Currently there are more than 150 individual puppet characters, each with it's own name and distinct look.
Who came up with the Bag Puppet idea?
The idea for the Fandango Bag Puppets came from creative director Len Fink, whose many credits include the Coca-Cola Polar Bears and Burger King. Len also directs the Bag Puppet spots. The puppets themselves are hand-crafted by James Hayes, a Los Angeles-based artist who has designed for the Jim Henson Co., Muppets Tonight and many feature films.
What are the Bag Puppets made of?
Always working from a paper bag base, the puppets have been created from hundreds of items including starfish, potatoes, walnuts, yarn, rubber, candy and more. And it's not only what’s on the outside that counts! Each puppet is built with an interior hand grip system that enables the puppeteer to create animated, life-like movements.
Where are the Bag Puppet trailers filmed?
From steam rooms to bowling alleys to Victorian-era homes, each Bag Puppet trailer is shot on-location in and around Los Angeles.
