Save Your Money, Skip The IMAX Version
Though advertised as an IMAX-3D Experience, the quality was flat out sub-par. The movie itself was wonderfully animated (though WAY too scary for younger children), and I enjoyed the movie.
BUT, at least at the IMAX theatre I saw it in (Opry Mills, Nashville TN), the sound was too loud, the picture was muddy (especially for an IMAX film), and there were "ghost" images behind the 3-D effects if you were not looking directly at the screen.
Flecks of dust that had attached to the film were giant sized on the IMAX screen, like bugs on a windshield that block your view.
The movie is well worth it, but save your money on the IMAX version ($15 at Opry Mills) --- see it in a regular 3-D theatre and use the money you'll save on concessions.
