88 MINUTES of my cinema-going life gone FOREVER!!

    by lugubriousthespian

Why Al Pacino gravitated to this insipid "thiller" (and I use that term oh so loosely) is anyone's guess. He plays a acclaimed forensic psychologist here who has put away the wrong serial killer as now it seems his copy-cat murderer is out to get him before his intended execution. OOOOOHHHHH! The tension is supposed to wratchet up as he gets ominous call after ominous call via various cell phones and red herrings thrown at him at every loophole. Truly worthless in every aspect except for maybe the nice Seattle backdrop in many scenes. The reveal of the actual copycat is a cop out and the climax is unintentionally funny. Pacino has made some stunning thillers over the years - SEA OF LOVE, DOG DAY AFTERNOON - go rent one of them before wasting your time and money on this turd! For shame Al!!!
