Great if you like fighting scenes

It is amazing that Keanu Reeves has made a career in acting by never smiling in a movie. This movie is a cross between Romeo and Juliet, the Last Samurai, and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Almost all of the actors from The Last Samurai, but the magic and fighting from Crouching Tiger. Maybe a little of Westside Story. Honor and love for Reeves' character becomes linked with the honor of the ronin. Could have been made more believable. Ronin are samurai without a leader. It is based on a real story. I like the genre and the samurai culture - so the movie had appeal for me.

Movie was good and I would watch it again. Historic action movie without just relying on blood and gore, with a bit of mystical twists. Acting was good. Not for young kids due to the violence.

The critics who said NO obviously did not appreciate the historical depiction of ancient Japanese culture. It was worth it! Good mix of medieval Japanese society and ancient mythological presentation. Nicely threads in what might be viewed as alien race among humanity and the possibility they existed among some of our ancient cultures.

It was a good movie about honor and sacrifice. Interesting weave about magic and mysticism, but I wished they explained it a bit more. But still a good movie.

If you like adventure movies, non stop action

This movie was great, non stop action. It is amazing how a actor can say so little and yet say so much with facial expressions. Hope they come back with a sequel of pre-47 Ronin when he was a child with the demons.
