To tell the whole story of the life of Jackie Robinson would take many hours to do. The film 42 gives us a glimpse of his life. It is a film well done. It was humorous at times. sad, intense and heartwarming. Harrison Ford gives an Oscar worthy performance as Branch Rickey. The acting was solid all the way around. The film really captured the attitudes and events of that period in time. I really liked the film and I plan on seeing it again. It is a must see film for all of us.

Did an amazing job of bringing to life one of the most historical and controversial times in our country. I can't say it's the best movie I've seen this year, only because of Zero Dark Thirty. But I definitely put 42 right up there with Lincoln, Argo, and Flight.

This movie should be a "must see" for everyone as a history lesson of the life and times of the era. It's an excellent film with Harrison Ford in an Oscar winning performane as Jacki Robinson's manager Branch Rickey. I don't often want to see a new flick a second time, but this one is worth it. Again, I hope the majority of the population of the US see this movie to get some undertanding of what it was like for Robinson to endure the abuse and incredible intolerance that he did. And that he did it, not only as a great ball player, but also as a gentlemen. Go see it !

Saw it with some international firends. It was a great opportunity to talk about our national pasttime as well as some American history. As a Brookelyn Dodger fan, it was fun to see and remember those times.

I always enjoy feel good movies but especially so when it's based on a true story. I absolutely loved this movie. There were laughs and tension. I would recommend this to anyone over the age of 10.
