In these days when it seems as though no one can get along...we need a movie like "42". Jackie Robinson was truly a gentleman and a hero, unlike any we see today. I laughed and cried!

This movie is based on true events in the life of Jackie Robinson and the storytelling is great. The movie keeps you engaged, entertained and touches upon the civil rights issues brewing at the time. Unlike other movies (ie the Butler), it doesn't get lost in the details of the civil rights movement and doesn't become a long drawn history lesson, it stays on point, namely #42.
I recommend this movie for the whole family.

I laughed and cried during the Movie ‘42’ as it faced unabashed racism from every side. Unfortunately, because of the past bigotry between ethnic groups; today more than many conceal those same emotions. Here is a blameless quote from the movie “What are you afraid of?” I’m only Human…The Movie ‘42’ is a must see human interest film.

The movie was just okay. I was disappointed in the casting of Harrison Ford in this role, I felt he did not embody the character, he was not believable. Not enough character development. The ending left the movie flat. A wonderfully impactful story that came up short.

If you are a Harrison Ford fan this is him at his finest. This movie got all the emotions flowing. I laughed, cried, and wanted to stand up and clap like we did when I was a kid and shows ended up in an absolute positive way.....and it was true.
