This was a movie that will probably be rated a classic. All the actors were perfectly cast in my opinion.
It had some very good moral lessons and I would rate it up there with "Blind Side"
It was very emotional at times for me.
I would tell anyone and everyone to go see the movie--any age.

If you are wanting to be informed, entertained, and have a wonderful experience see 42. Jack Robinson and Branch Rickey were iconic figures and this movie captures a time in America when the country was moving in a positive direction toward racial justice. The baseball scenes were amazing re-creations. I remember Ebbets Field, Crosley Field, and Forbes Field and the movie brought memories flooding back. If you see one movie this year see 42

Great movie a real must see. Some typical US racial history we all know but presented so well and the character development was really stellar.
Don't miss this one!!!

I laughed and cried during the Movie ‘42’ as it faced unabashed racism from every side. Unfortunately, because of the past bigotry between ethnic groups; today more than many conceal those same emotions. Here is a blameless quote from the movie “What are you afraid of?” I’m only Human…The Movie ‘42’ is a must see human interest film.

This movie is based on true events in the life of Jackie Robinson and the storytelling is great. The movie keeps you engaged, entertained and touches upon the civil rights issues brewing at the time. Unlike other movies (ie the Butler), it doesn't get lost in the details of the civil rights movement and doesn't become a long drawn history lesson, it stays on point, namely #42.
I recommend this movie for the whole family.
