Excellent baseball movie and one more time how America has progressed but always more work to do.
The courage of Jackie Robinson portrayed in the movie is inspirational for anyone.

Saw it with some international firends. It was a great opportunity to talk about our national pasttime as well as some American history. As a Brookelyn Dodger fan, it was fun to see and remember those times.

I was slightly concerned about taking our 10 and 11 year old kids, because of it's PG-13 rating, but it must have gotten that rating because of the use of N word. There's no hiding the abuse Jackie Robinson took though. Both kids loved the movie and my husband and I loved it. In fact, tonight's packed theater applauded louder than I've heard in a Long time. This is a must see for families. It really opens the door for conversations about racial equality and our country's history.

42 was a very good, well acted film. Chadwick Boseman and Harrison Ford I thought were both excellent, more so Boseman because he's an unknown and I would expect a great performance from Ford. The only complaint I have about the movie is it's a little slow moving. I took my 11 yr old daughter because she was dying to see it and she really enjoyed it, and think it was good for her to see how terrible racism was and how amazing a person Jackie Robinson was to overcome it.
