Highly recommended. Perfectly captured the anguish this man(JR) had to endure. Filled with love and passion while trying to overcome the reality of hatred. Great movie.

Great movie a real must see. Some typical US racial history we all know but presented so well and the character development was really stellar.
Don't miss this one!!!

This movie is based on true events in the life of Jackie Robinson and the storytelling is great. The movie keeps you engaged, entertained and touches upon the civil rights issues brewing at the time. Unlike other movies (ie the Butler), it doesn't get lost in the details of the civil rights movement and doesn't become a long drawn history lesson, it stays on point, namely #42.
I recommend this movie for the whole family.

I laughed and cried during the Movie ‘42’ as it faced unabashed racism from every side. Unfortunately, because of the past bigotry between ethnic groups; today more than many conceal those same emotions. Here is a blameless quote from the movie “What are you afraid of?” I’m only Human…The Movie ‘42’ is a must see human interest film.

As a huge baseball fan, who has read several Jackie Robinson biographies over the course of my life, I rate it as an A-. Purely as a movie, I rate it a B+. It is well done, but not special or epic. An important chunk of history well handled, but not something that will stick with me--but then again, I have known his story since I was a 9-10 year old kid reading bios of Dodgers, Giants, and Yankees from the 30's, 40's, and 50's. . . . . Now if the Mariners did not suck for once, that would be epic.
