'Jurassic Park' 3D and IMAX Release Teases with New Poster and Trailer

Welcome (back), to Jurassic Park!

The first official poster and trailer for the planned 3D and IMAX release of Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park landed online, inviting brave audience members back to the land of genetically enhanced dinosaurs for another thrilling ride.

It’s interesting: Months ago, when Spielberg’s Raiders of the Lost Ark returned to theaters in an enhanced IMAX format, we listed five of the director’s movies that we’d love to see in IMAX. Jurassic Park made that cut (obviously), but I don’t think I knew at the time that Universal planned to upgrade the 1993 blockbuster in 3D. Well, here it comes. Maybe we planted the seed? (I’m kidding.)

Jurassic Park will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a 3D and IMAX re-release on April 4, 2013. Pick up your tickets here.

Although you can't expect amazing things from the 3D conversions today, this 20-year anniversary of an edge of your seat sci-fi thriller about dinosaurs might finally have its chance to pass the billion-dollar mark!

I don't care if the actual 3D conversion is good or not, I just want to have the experience of seeing the classic movie on the big screen

NEVER AGAIN WILL I WASTE BIG BUCKS FOR AN OLD MOVIE THAT WILL BE VERY UNIMPRESSIVE WITH THE ATTEMPT AT MAKING IT 3D. THE STAR WARS RE-EDITING/3D WERE JUST NOT WORTH THE MONEY. NOT PAYING TODAY'S PRICES FOR RERUNS. PERIOD.
