It's no secret that converting classic movies into 3D is the "in" thing in Hollywood. So sufficed to say it was only a matter of time before The Lord of the Rings trilogy underwent 3D enhancement. The question is, how will fans of the franchise react?

That's right! The kind folks over at Disney have given us the exclusive poster premiere for The Lion King 3D, opening for a limited 2-week run in theaters on September 16th. This version of the classic animated musical movie is in 3D and features all of your favorite tunes like "The Circle of Life" and "Hakuna Matata."

Last night I got to attend a very special event held at Paramount Studios – "3D: A Transforming Visual Art – A Conversation with James Cameron and Michael Bay." The two legendary filmmakers were there to talk about 3D filmmaking and show off 15 minutes of 3D footage and the 3D trailer from the upcoming Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

It took years for Disney to finally release a sequel to TRON (28 years to be exact), and now that we have TRON: Legacy – with its sleek, spiffy, high-tech shine – we want to know whether it was worth the wait. TRON: Legacy shot to the top of the box office this past weekend, albeit with a fairly weak $43 million, especially considering all the advance buzz and higher 3D ticket prices.

It was pretty much assumed early on that The Hobbit would attempt some form of 3D, especially since Peter Jackson is a huge fan of the format, but until now there's been no announcement.
