an action pack movie. its a great movie and worth while but i don not recommend for younger viewers.

Don't expect the novel
By and large the movie seemed to be adapted from the graphic novel. However, if you are a fan of the novel, don't expect a page for page recreation. The marital strife between main characters seemed tacked on. The movie on a whole seemed slow paced with repetitive dialog (ie "We have to move...) For creatures that can smell the blood and fear of its prey, it was odd that the refugees couldn't be detected in an attic. You would think that surely a bright light from an attic window or having prey right under foot as a creature scampered across the roof would have led to discovery, but this was not the case. Lastly, the finale that seemed a back and forth in the novel seemed to be concluded way too soon in my opinion. Overall, worth a visit (maybe a matinée), but watch the movie for a movie. Don't expect the novel...

Awesome Movie!
It was an awesome horror movie that kept you on the edge of your seat. It is s must go see for horror buffs!!!!

30 Days of Night
This movie was absolutely amazing, it kept me on the edge of my seat for a good portion of the movie. It did not show every person being brutally murdered, but it did show most of them. The ending wasn't too great, but origional. I am going to have nightmares for quite a while from this movie, its scary as hell. There isn't sex like all the other vampire movies though, and the vampires are waaaaaay too patient considering they don't look for the people until the last day. Scary as hell though. And I actually watched the movie, unlike 50% of the reviewers.
