Come on guys... IT IS A MOVIE! It is very entertaining. The two work very well together. No moments where it seems "slow" and the action, although abundant, is not overly done for the most part (ok - these days some is inevitable).

Watch it at home when it's available as a DVD for some entertaining scenes ~ too complex, improbable, long, and disjointed. A "buddy" film at best.

Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg are very funny in this film. Paula Patton, who is fantastic actress, plays Denzels love interest. She nearly bares it all and she is hot! Over all, the movie is your typical drug lord, government, and authorities either working together or double crossing each other. It was good but not great. The best part was the humor and Washington and Wahlberg playing off each other.

Not a lot of vulgar language, I M H O there is too much in movies these days. It is funny and has a lot of irony in play, lots of action.

I wanted to see this because it has Denzel Washington in it, who always turns in an interesting performance. Mark Wahlberg is usually good, but his taste in movies tends to be erratic, so I didn't quite know what to expect. It did not get good reviews.
I and my niece both enjoyed it very much. There is plenty of action, Washington and Wahlberg are as likable as ever and the humor works well.
What I didn't like about the movie is that it exemplifies a trend seen in more and more movies these days. That is, there is ONE female in it with a speaking part, and she is there strictly to provide decoration. Her role provides very little range for an actress, and seems to be pretty redundant to the plot. I suspect movies are being made more for men than for women these days, and that producers think men only find other men interesting, except for the naked bits.
Still, the team of Washington and Wahlberg works well, and the movie provides very good summer escapist entertainment.
