Very funny movie and great acting throughout the film!

Classic French drama...that is very entertaining!

    Interesting portrayal of Relationships

I love the awkward sex scenes and the banter between the couple in this movie. It makes it feel less like a ?romantic comedy? and more like the documentation of a normal couple. Unlike your atypical romantic comedy, there are no ?big gestures? or cheesy one-liners, but more awkward situations and ?why did I say that? moments that, unfortunately, real life consists of.
Julie Delpy?s monologue at the end of the movie expresses the thoughts and emotions that many people feel while in a relationship, and capsulated the movie.
Although I did not like some of the editing choices, the movie was fun to watch.

    a great movie!

This was a great romantic comedy and a great movie about Paris. I love the city and I was thrilled to see a different side of it.

Julie Delpy is more than an actress! This is a rental or matinee movie...

I was surprised to see that Julie Delpy wrote, directed, and starred in this movie. I had high hopes since this movie received really good reviews and I do like to watch non-mainstream films. Adam Goldberg is hysterical in this film and Julie Delpy is fabulous. You basically watch two people in a typical relationship with quirky arquments and all. I'm not sure if it is a romantic comedy because there's really nothing romantic about the film. As I started watching the film, I thought "Wow, this is really funny", but as the movie went on, I thought that Julie's character was really messed up. She does a lot of things that would warrant Jack leaving her and I guess it shows her insecurities and his. I'd wait and rent this one rather than seeing it at the movies. If you go, pay matinee prices.
