  the rage.

  Im a huge fan of horror movies. 28 weeks later def is a movie to go see. i don't jump in my seat easy, but did however in this one ;) it has great gore, and the action makes up for the minute slow scenes. i'm not sure if you call this a zombie flick. more like zombies on speed with crack, or the rage. still loved it, if your a fan of horror, gore, zombies(rage) movies, go see it. now.

  More bang but less zombie bite?

  This sequel is much better than its prdecessor "28 days" overall but it may lack the intense gore horror fans have become accustomed to. Instead of the typical hurricane of blood, body parts and gore that accompany a zombie/horror film, we get more character development, drama and thrills -- all of which make for, in my opinion, a better movie. This movie still contains enough blood to fill a river for those blood-thirsty fans; you just don't get that chewing of the flesh, crunching of the bones, biting of the neck scenes we've been used to. You know it when 10 zombies converge on a helpless old man that he's a goner, so you got to like director's decision to not waste more than a second on the eventual carnage. The special effects are pretty good and, like I noted, you have a better sense of why this outta-control-virus is happening and what the US special forces are going to do about it. You also do not get the typical heroes, so you don't know who will survive. 90 min of thrill.

  THERE NOT ZOMBIES YOU MORONS!!!!!

  ok so 28 weeks later might not be what its predecesor was but it shouldnt realy have to be. thats why its called 28 weeks later not 28 days later 2.0! to many "die hard fans" it may be dissapointing to know that jim and company dont make a return visit however if people will accept that fact then it should please just about anybody with a hankering for a good scare. i must admit i myself found it a bit more frightening than the first wich is yet another reason to watch it. oh and another thing if your looking for a good zombie movie then this isnt it why? because the infected are not zombies theIr regular people that have been consumed by the rage virus which by description does not raise the dead it simply erases the memory and sends the host on a psycotic killing spree by. implimenting an overpowerd anger and by pumping never ending amounts of adrenilin into the body. it also creates the need to spread the infection. they dont eat people. and theIr not dead. THEIR NOT ZOMBIES!

  A little short, but surprisingly brilliant

  I went into 28 Weeks expecting a horribly disappointing teenage-slasher-from-a-different-director type of sequel--but I'm amazed to say it held up VERY well to its predecessor. The drama is incredibly real and, in some parts, so hard to watch you have to look away. You really feel for the main characters despite you only have an hour and a half to get to know them. The intro to the film is horrifyingly disturbing--but in a wonderful way. And the semi-surprise ending is very subtle, but perfectly executed in my opinion. The one and only downside to this movie is that 28 Weeks is 50 minutes shorter than its prequel. It would've outdone 28 Days had it been about half an hour - 50 minutes longer. But otherwise, a rollercoaster of a thriller.

  edge of your seat

  The thing that makes this movie so scary is that it makes you wonder if the possibility of this reality exists. My husband and I don't scare easily but we slept with our bedroom door locked and I followed him around the house like a little lost puppy afterwards. This movie prays on the philisophical question of what is important to you to survive; your spouse, your children, your friends... Would you go down with them or fight to survive on your own? Could you do what you need to do in order to survive? There were times when I just sat straight in my seat, eyes closed, listening to the horror. The filming was excellent. A must see classic...

  28 Weeks Later

  The movie in my opinion was very entertaining. There was plenty of suspence and horror to keep you on the edge of your seat. The story line and plot was interesting and partialy plausable and for the most part was consistant. However ther were inconsistancies in the mortality, intelegence and numbers of the infected. This weakned some of the suspenceful scenes and left you questioning the writers or even the directors talent.

  Just when they thought it was safe to go back into Blighty

  28 Days Later....rage filled zombies ripping up the British Isles, a Machete wielding nurse, Mountain Dew fueled motorcycle courier and various other sources of 'Cannon Fodder'.....what a great film.... 28 weeks had some of the core boxes ticked. Zombies, lots of running away and lots of ...'this is all going to go terribly wrong' moments. Now the US army is involved, expect a plethora of friendly fire incidents, good natured adults sacrificing their lives to save a couple of annoying kids and last but by no mean least a fire bomb that levels the entire financial district of London....quality.... Go see the the film...it is not as good as the first...not even close...but not as bad as Land of the Dead.....worth the $11 just to see Robert Carlyle do a Begbie on loads of different people

  More of an action/thriller

  This is not your let?s bring the date to a scary movie she/he jumps in your arms type of horror flick. The movie is very visceral, more of a rush, so much so, that the characters take a backseat to the gore and violence, which is bombarded at you in machine gun rapid fire splashes. This movie is not about creepy Lovecraftian (well maybe 1 brief starlight scope scene) zombies, think of it more as your favorite pro sports team are now hopped up on dust and they are after YOU! The infected give chase and all you can do is Run, Lola, Run…its good for your adrenal glands.

  The Horror is Within Us

  This is perhaps the most brutal depiction of human folly and failing that I have ever seen on film. Though marketed as a horror movie, this film is less interested in the conventions of the genre than it is looking at the way in which human beings in bad situations make bad decisions, usually with the best of intentions. From the creation of the rage virus and the attempts of animal activists to "do the right thing" in the first film, to the well-intentioned but ultimately misguided attempts to save children, the characters of these films consistently make decisions that have far more dire consequences than anything they can conceive, and even their attempts at redemption for the things they've seen and done only make matters worse. This film has some of the most brutal violence I've seen outside of a Tarantino film, but, unlike those films, where watching the violence is intended to give perverse pleasure to the viewer, here the violence is simply the product of what we have created.

  Not what we expected

  28 weeks later was not what we expected. We were actually a little worried to go see it being that 28 days later was a complete let down but we flipped the coin and went anyhow. You walk into zombie movies kinda going, "You seen one you've seen them all." Not with this one! This movie was incredible, complete difference between 28 days later and 28 weeks later. These "zombies" can move quick and are vicious. You are drawn into whether or not the person they are chasing can get away. We were on the edge of our seat the entire movie and we have never jumped so many times during one movie before. If you think you will be disappointed, think again! I would like to go and see it again atleast 2 more times. I would encourage everyone to see it. The action, drama, suspense and horror was unbelievable!! If you are a horror movie addict, it is a must see!!

  If you like to be scared...

  you will love this film. Edge of your seat horror. Machine gun editing may be the real star. Less satire, more action than the first, but well worth the ride.

  horrible

  This movie is the worst peice of garbage I have seen in quite a while. I LOVED the first movie, and this is quite possibly the worst sequal ever. There are so many "Oh give me a break" moments in this movie that I am still thinking of them 3 hours after leaving the theatre. Just a horrible and completely moronic storyline as to how the infection got spread again. Save your money.

  UNIQUE

  Before I can talk about the movie there's one thing that I don't agree with is that nobody seems to understand that this is NOT a zombie movie. Remember that in the begining of the movie the infected started dying of starvation? It was an infection, kind of like a bird flu pandamic would be if it were to happen... knock on wood! Alright!! Enough of this, let me just tell you this movie just rocked in every sense of the word. Man, it was action from start to finish, gore and undriscriminating killing. That's what a real horror movie should be all about and they finally did. Many dramatic and clever scenes, filled with unique camera shots and VERY, very hardcore action. Now if you like all these things, you must check out this movie and if you have the chance, make sure to watch the first movie(28 days later) just to keep it all up to date man. I hope I could help.   If you liked the first, you'll like the second.

  28 Weeks Later is a rather good sequel, as sequels go. It feels different from the first; the producers haven't let it become formulaic. This film further explores the possibility of a deadly plague and expands on the premise of the first film. The characters are completely different, but this series is not about characters; it's about themes. Some themes to pay attention to in this film: responsibility (familial, governmental, social, and personal), situational ethics vs. absolutism, and personal sacrifice. Of course, all of these themes are painted in the dark colors of tragedy (think ancient Greek) and inevitability. And bathed in the infected blood and splattered body parts of the unfortunate. So, if you've a weak stomach, you likely won't benefit from the fairly complex philosophical wanderings of this film. Go see Shrek the Third instead. :)

  28 Weeks Later Movie Review

  83 out of 100 The entertaining sequel to the smash hit "28 Days Later" of Danny Boyle is better than the first. It is truly terrifying, thrilling and much more blood to spare in a life of blood-thirsty zombies. Still waiting for 28 Months Later.
